Christine Cianci is a resident of San Francisco, CA and a second generation Italian/American. Her grandparents were born and married in Schiavi di Abruzzo (CH) Abruzzo, then came to the states in 1921.
Christine is a professional artist, showing and selling in the San Francisco
Bay Area. Her style is decidely painterly, utilizing the ancient chiaroscuro
techniques of Caravaggio and Gentileschi but
incorporating surrealistic and symbolistic elements along with the realistic
figures in her work that emphasize her devotion to the realms of the subconscious,
history and mythology. Her portraiture (upon commision) also includes symbolism
in the setting and posture of the subject to indicate more about their
individual characteristics than just a mere physical image.

Angelica Di Chiara-Hardin is a professional full time artist. She was born and raised in a sunny,
colorful seaside town among the beautiful beaches on the Adriatic Sea,
and she spent a few years working and attending the University in a pretty
city near Venice. She also traveled often throughout Italy visiting her
extended family near Florence, Bologna, Torino, Brindisi, Lecce and many
other places.
Angelica came to the US in the early 80's, and started painting in 1996. Since then she has taken several Art classes in order to master different mediums and improve her tecniques. Angelica loves and misses the Italian buildings, the colors, the people, the foods, the warm Mediterrenean Sea and the olive trees. Her painting allows her to revisit the lands, colors and sights that are so very familiar and that are such an intrinsic part of her. She travels to Europe and Italy to visit family and friends and spend time there recharging her 'cultural' batteries, while brushing up on the language and collecting pictures and subjects to paint while back in the US. Painting is Angelica's way to go back to the past and a chance to dream up the future while enjoying the present.
Angelica's Artwork is sold in several Galleries downtown Spokane, including the FOX Theatre Gallery, Joel's Gallery and Caterina's. Angelica is also a proud member of the World Artist Directory
